Our Team

Prize-winning baristas, coffee trainers, expert roasters, experienced green coffee buyers, low-key amazing illustrators…yet some of the most approachable experts you’d ever want to meet. Our team 100% shares the belief that better relationships equal better coffee, and they’re relentless in their pursuit to connect our guests with something they’ll enjoy.

Sourcing

Our coffee is the product of long-lasting relationships that started with a handshake where it was grown.

“We go to origin to find exactly the coffee we believe our guests will enjoy.

- David Amos, VP of Coffee

We visit every origin that we buy coffee from each year to hand select 100% of both our single origins and blends.

We purchase coffee only when there’s a mutually beneficial relationship rooted in respect.

We’re committed to always being transparent about our sourcing and blend components.

We believe that great coffee is a direct result of great relationships. We travel the world to nurture these friendships, make new connections, and find the best coffee for our guests.

Roastery

Roasted in South Philly by the same Saxbys® team that sourced the coffee.

“Great coffee is a byproduct of great people. We’re proud to have both here in Philadelphia.”

- David Amos, Vice President of Coffee

In an ode to our past and as an investment in our future, we’ve set up shop in a century-old ice house and converted it into a thriving coffee roastery in South Philadelphia.

Our hometown of Philadelphia has received many designations over the last 340 years, ranging from “The Birthplace of America” and “The City of Brotherly Love” to “The Workshop of the World.” The infrastructure, talent to produce, and commitment to craftsmanship is in our city’s DNA.
